In May, Play Street Museum became the proud sponsor of a child in Malawi, Africa through Pure Mission. He is 13 years old and lives with his grandmother. Because of our sponsorship he is able to attend school. This semester, in addition to his regular coursework, he is taking a computer class where he is learning how to type and learning how to use a computer. He is studying hard and learning a lot! We are so proud of him!
As a small business we appreciate each customer that visits Play Street Museum. Our desire is to make a difference in our local communities and communities around the world. As a mom, there are certainly times I feel frustrated when my kiddos or I don't get what we want, when we want it. I almost immediately feel a sense of entitlement for myself and for them. This is when I need to slow down and be more thankful for the things we have. Thankful our children can go to school, have clothes to wear and food to eat. I forget their little eyes are watching my every move and listening to every word I say. Sometimes the hardest place to be a difference maker is in your own home...but it is the most important!
